When a newbie enters gardening stores, he can simply be overjoyed by the variety of equipment that he finds in the store. There is literally thousands of equipment you can buy for your garden. You can buy the best and the most expensive dibbles and trowels while you can also get the cheaper class of same equipment. Though each of them is required for some kind of work only few are essential for the regular maintenance of the garden.
A newbie gardener will certainly buy more than required equipment unless he has a tight budget. One just gets carried away by the sheer amount of equipments and there use. But after few days when the same equipment is useless you find yourself no where because most equipment can be used only with the expensive and decorative pots and are required for special plantation only. So, be sure and do a perfect research before buying anything.
Tools
There are many home made alternative present for gardening equipment. Like, one can simply use a teapot for watering the plants instead of a watering can or a fork instead of a cultivator. But the professional tools will only work in specific conditions and will give better results that their alternatives. Moreover using tools is much better in long run as they will provide with quality work then just using home supplies.

This is most important tool for your garden. They come in varied shape and size and the best one is that has long thin spout. They are simply best because you can water the base of plants where simple can cannot reach.
Knife
A long and sharp knife is very essential to cut out the extra branches and leaves in home garden. A simple home knife can suffice but its better to get a tailored knife for the garden.
Pots
Pots are another essential tool that you cannot live without. They are used to hold the plant in them. They are also available in many size and with different decorations. They can be divided into 2 groups depending on their design: the simple clay pot and the decorative glazed pots.
Simple clay pots are not much decorative and are simple in look and design. They are comparatively cheap and sustain for a longer time while on other hand glazed pots are decorated with many designs and are also made up of special kind of clay. They are expensive and can get a dent on crashing.
Many other variants of tools and equipments are also available in markets but it depends on gardener to choose the right tools for his garden. These are some essential tools. So now you can start building a home garden.
