College students are flocking to social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace in record numbers. Based on current traffic levels, the top social networking sites offer marketers the opportunity to reach more than 3 million college students in any given month. There are only a few media outlets that offer such a high level of targeted reach. Microsoft has invested $240m in social networking site Facebook in exchange for a 1.6% share of the company.
